Taking on the Legendary Track of Nürburgring in Germany

Each year, Giti Tire brings its teams to action at the Endurance Series and headline 24 Hours race at Nürburgring. This includes bringing some of the most high-tech cars into action against the top comptition in the world.

The efforts also include Giti's Girls Only team -- the groundbreaking squad that broke records as the first all-female racing team to win its class in an international race - at the final VLN Endurance Series race of 2019.

Giti's Audi R8 Duo Conquers Class With #1/#2 Finish at 24 Hours Race

Giti Tire’s third appearance at the ADAC Total 24 Hours Nürburgring turned out to be a huge success, with its high-powered Audi duo overtaking its competitive SP8 class for a #1/#2 finish.

From June 20-23, an intensive round of activities and practice races at Nürburgring concluded with the highly-anticipated 24 Hours race. For this year’s contest, Giti's vehicles were all fitted with GitiCompete GTR1 tires and covered with full Giti branding.

Giti featured two Audi R8 vehicles in the race, both performing impressively in their SP8 class throughout 24 hours of intense conditions and competition. In the end, Giti’s Audi R8 LMS Ultra manned by Rahel Frey, Bernhard Henzel, Pavel Lefterov, and Frank Schmickler delivered the top finish in the group, including a highly impressive 20th place finish of the overall Nurburgring field that included 160 entrants. This Audi, featuring a V10 5.2L DOHC engine and 570HP turned heads among attendees and viewers online with a consistence and highly-efficient performance, overcoming track challenges and other obstacles that toppled others in the field.

Coming in second was Giti’s Audi R8 GT4, which packs 495HP into its V10 5.2L DOHC engine. The China and Hong Kong comprised team included Rainey He, Sunny Wong, Andy Yan, and Li Fei as drivers, who also achieved a great performance and ensured that Giti received the top two places in the group.

Giti Tire takes its competition truck racing tires to some of the toughest tracks in Europe and beyond, showcasing two branded trucks in    partnership with Team Oliver Racing, including the famous Nürburgring in Germany and Zolder in Belgium. Giti’s involvement in the European series follows its competitive truck racing in Australia through the Super Truck Nationals in recent years.

For these events and exhibitions, Giti’s specially-designed GitiCompete Race-Tuned V1 tires are used on these truck vehicles. These tires  are tuned through extensive development and testing, with technology that adapts Giti’s commercial truck tires to truck racing environments. The extreme conditions provide a valuable information source that can be used for the company’s other truck and bus tires.

In addition to testing and learning through the racing, Giti Tire’s participation gave the opportunity for the company to showcase the strengths of its tires to truck drivers and enthusiasts, as well as families who may be experiencing competitive truck racing for the first time. At the events, Giti had branding and materials, as well as some giveaways to build its connection with viewers.

Giti is participating in its fourth season as the exclusive tire sponsor and provider of the Formula 3 Asian Championship series. The 2019-2020 Formula 3 Asian Championship was a big success, with top young racers competing for the series crown -- all driving on Giti tires. This is intended to showcase the passion, energy, and excitement of the drivers, crews, and everyone involved in the F3  Asian Championship.

So far, the F3 Asian Championship has already gained a great reception from drivers and fans alike. With passionate young drivers, F3AC a top-level formula competition, combining performance, safety, and car racing eiciency. In the past two years, the series has taken Giti and the future champions to famous F1 tracks in Japan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and the UAE. This year, the season will take place in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to take into account the travel restrictions and logistics.

Giti Combines Racing Excitement and Family in its 5th UK Fun Cup Series

In its fifth year of UK Fun Cup sponsorship, Giti provides its GitiCompete GTR2 street/circuit racing tire to support the exciting and fun track action of modiied Volkswagen Beetles. In addition, Giti branding is displayed on each car, and branded activities are held during the events to share about Giti to attendees. One strength of the series is the friendly and fun atmosphere at each of the events. It brings together serious race fans, families, and casual observers all together in one environment. This ‘Race to the Clouds’ in Colorado Springs, USA takes drivers over 156 turns, climbing 1,440 meters, and requires a super durable vehicle and tires to traverse.   Partnering with legendary Japanese driver ‘Monster’ Nohuhiro, Giti Tire showed great resiliency in the race over four years participating, including winning First Place in the electric devision at the 2013 edition of the event.

Giti Tire’s race team traveled through the most severe terrains with the GitiCompete series for SUV 4x4 challenge in the freezing cold and ice of Mohe. Mohe is a country name in the northernmost of China with a subartic climate which average temperatures stay below freezing for a total of nearly seven months of the year. In the end, Giti’s GTR X-Grip tires led the team to be the Overall Champion in the Mohe Ice and Snow  Cross Country Rally Championship (Petrol Group).

First Place in 12 Hours Malaysia Race

With a team of global drivers, the Giti Tire team won the 2015 Sepang 12 Hours Endurance Race Group GTC champtionship in its customized Lambourghini with GitiCompete GTR1 tires. Competing against the most famous tire and vehicle companies, the event is a test of burning sun, torrential rain, and speed curves.

The GitiCompete Desert1 took on the 10th Taklimakan Rally, a 13 day journey through the tough northwest terrain of Xinjiang, spanning 4,600 km over dunes, rocks, and mud. This tough event attracted a large entry of 120 cars, with less than half making it across the finish line!
